Fast resolution of billing and settlement discrepancies


Our client, a UK B2B water retailer, needed to understand and resolve the discrepancy that was emerging in their accounts between billing and settlements.

Drawing on our expert network, we formulated a team combining water settlement expertise, MOSL knowledge and significant billing engine understanding.

Our efficient approach delivered substantial value quickly. Within the first 8 weeks, we identified and provided £13m of imbalance associated with only 3000 SPIDs, supporting the operational teams to resolve the imbalance.

Over the following 5 months, we identified £50m where revenue was lower than settlement, nearly 30% of which was outside of their incumbent wholesaler. Collaborating with the operational teams we defined resolution paths enabling our client to significantly reduce discrepancies.
